Cultivating Positive Emotions

An event every week that begins at 8:30 am on Wednesday, repeating until March 10, 2021
This 6-week class provides an introduction to the qualities we cultivate through mindfulness which increase our overall sense of well-being, including equanimity, gratitude, appreciative joy, generosity, loving-kindness, and compassion. All of these teachings are found in the world’s great wisdom traditions and these practices are in accord with those teachings, but presented in a secular format.
In order to truly cultivate these qualities, we must first become aware. Mindfulness provides specific ways to develop our minds and hearts in these qualities.
All classes are currently delivered through Zoom, an online meeting tool. When in-person classes become a safe possibility, we may move to in-person class delivery in our Houston studio. At that point, students will have the choice to join each class in-person or through Zoom.
